Why Companies That Hire Remotely Come Out Ahead (Velocity Global)
What if I told you there was a simple way to make your business more profitable, reduce overhead, and improve talent satisfaction and retention, all at the same time?
I researched, wrote, and edited the content and copy for this blog to help drive Velocity Global’s value prop—the ability to hire anyone, anywhere, compliantly, and on budget. Working closely with an editorial manager and SEO team, I’m particularly proud of how this article came out.
How to Offer a Flexible Work Model (Velocity Global)
When we think about “flexible work,” we typically think of working from home—but supporting your talent so they can be at their best means more than offering remote work. It’s all about accessibility, and it can provide huge, low-cost boosts to your business, like boosting productivity and improving talent retention.
Another Velocity Global blog post that I’m especially proud of, this article also involved heavy collaboration with my managing editor, SEO specialists, and subject matter experts. I led the copywriting, research, proofreading, and revision processes for this piece.
Scaling New Heights 2024: Day 1 Recap (The Woodard Report)
The Scaling New Heights 2024 conference opened up on the morning of Sunday, June 16, 2024, to more than 1,800 attendees—many of whom were first-timers. For most, the event is a chance to learn about new tech or cutting-edge accounting, bookkeeping, and business management practices.
"Scaling New Heights” is an annual industry conference set in Orlando, Florida put on by the employees of Woodard, a professional organization for members of the accounting, bookkeeping, and CAS industries. This piece—the first in a series of four—was one part beat reporting, one part event promotion for the event, which saw record-high attendance for 2024’s show, “Boldly Go.” I took the lead on the editorial department’s content strategy for the event, writing long-form articles covering each day of the show with one ultimate goal: generating FOMO (fear of missing out) for those who didn’t attend. This initiative helped drive an unprecedented number of attendee registrations for the 2025 event.
